THE CYBER ESSENTIALS FIRST STEP FUND FOR UK BUSINESSES
The UK Government has launched the Cyber Essentials First Step Fund, offering eligible small and medium-sized businesses a 75% discount on Cyber Essentials certification fees.
That means your business could achieve this nationally recognised cybersecurity certification for as little as £80 + VAT.
The funding is available to eligible UK businesses with fewer than 250 employees that haven't held Cyber Essentials certification in the last four years. With a limited £2.4 million funding pot available until March 2027, or until the money runs out, now is the time to act.

The First Step Fund is intended for UK-registered organisations.

This includes previous Cyber Essentials certification, even if it has now expired.
Does your organisation meet the government subsidy limit?
The scheme requires organisations to remain within the £315,000 Minimal Financial Assistance limit over the applicable three-year period, including this discount.
